This was an unexpected and sudden drawing. I can only assume after this Rick and Morty fueled tumblr post’s goofiness, my brain just got frustrated and said "okay, here's two adult, human males then. Now stop your whining".
Perfect timing too: this now stands as a massive thank you for the Star Trek Discovery writers, producers and creative teams for making episode 12 happen.
The opera callback I had been waiting for :,) Stamets longing for mundanity amongst all this grand scale space adventure. So human. So perfect. So satisfactory. The reason I ever fell for this couple. This man will cross universes for his love.
Also, feels like the opportune time to congratulate on the GLAAD Awards nomination. I’ll be damned, if this masterpiece of a show doesn’t win something!
